Scholarship Program

Bonnie and Nate Crochunis awarded scholarships to the Liberty HS graduating class of 2024, Ryan's class. A well deserving group of young people.

In 2024, the Cro Foundation contributed funds to Liberty High School to create two scholarships. The foundation coordinated with the school to identify specific criteria to award the scholarships, including recognition of academic effort, athletics and good character. Since 2024, The Cro Foundation has continued to support Liberty High School graduates through this scholarship program.

Ryan’s Reason: Ryan would have graduated as part of the Class of 2024. Financing the cost of college can be a daunting task, with many of the scholarships being reserved for star athletes and academic excellence. As a student and athlete himself, Ryan was a passionate individual; however, he would not have qualified for these types of scholarships.

Target Fundraising Goal: $10,000 ($5,000 each) - Additional considerations may be made depending on the number of applicants and number of worthy recipients.

Outcome: The Cro Foundation awarded $20,500 in scholarships to the 2024 Liberty High School graduating class (Ryan’s Class). This was very meaningful to the foundation given this is Ryan’s class and he would have graduated along with these young adults if he were still with us. We had 15 applicants and decided to make awards to all 15. We made 2 awards of $5,000, 4 awards of $1,500, and 9 awards of $500. We appreciated the interest in our newly established scholarship.

Our second year of awarding scholarships to Liberty High students was truly inspiring. Because the applicant pool was so strong, we chose to award a scholarship to every single student who applied in 2025. Awards ranged from $500 to $5,000. (Total: $21,500 | May 2025)
